Eileen White, Chair
Eileen White is the Chair of the Trustees and has a background as a primary school teacher.
Eileen worked for many years in the London Borough of Hillingdon as a senior manager and was a successful Head Teacher before she relocated to Wantage with her husband and two young boys, who are now almost grown up!
Her years in education were the perfect training ground for her role as Chair, already she is at the centre of setting the ethos and culture of the HUB. As chair her job is to get things done from organising agendas, making sure actions are followed up, writing policies and ensuring enduring processes and systems are set up. Skills very familiar to any head teacher!
Her passion is see the HUB built to a high standard and also to see it up and running and ready to welcome many, long into the future.

Ken Armour
Ken’s initial career was as a biomedical scientist and he spent 11 years carrying out post-doctoral research. Having retrained as a solicitor, initially specialising in intellectual property, Ken works as a senior in-house lawyer in the technology sector. Ken has lived in the Wantage area for over a decade. Prior to moving to Oxfordshire, Ken was a trustee of two charities in Yorkshire. Ken brings insight into all matters legal as well as a profound desire to see the best in everything and everyone. -
Dan Harbour
Dan is the founder and MD of Beacon (a social enterprise providing legal representation to people with complex health needs - beaconchc.co.uk) and also heads up a national advice service, funded by NHS England. Dan currently lives in Challow and has a passion to see everyone in our communities served fairly and justly (hence the day job!) He brings over 10 years’ experience of setting up and growing businesses and projects with a clear social purpose. -
Neil Townsend, official link to the parent charity
Neil is the senior lead for Wantage Community Church. He nurtured the original vision for The Hub and led the project from its early days. He is a church leader who also provides leadership support, development, and coaching to church leaders in multiple nations; alongside this he provides coaching to business leaders. Prior to The Hub project, he was instrumental in seeing Street Pastors start in Wantage and Grove.
