History
A good few years ago, planning approval was given for the Kingsgrove Development. In that planning approval was a requirement for a community centre, to be run by a community organisation. At the same time, Wantage Community Church was looking for a permanent base. The church responded to the consultation process, and applied to be the body that would run the community centre.
Over the following years, having gained approval to run the centre, Wantage Community Church worked with the Developers (St. Modwen), the landowners, and a construction company (Thomas homes) to design and deliver The Hub: a community centre that responded to 21st century life and looked to the future, understanding the need to bring together working space, community space, and a café.
A new charity (Kingsgrove Community Hub) was created to run The Hub, so that it would be able to serve everyone as well as possible. Right now (March 2023), the legal agreements and the planning application are being finalised!
